on Western cuisine, healthy food and pet supplies, and now also homeware through the world’s first IKEA Close to You.
Spanning over 3,000 square-feet, IKEA Close to You stocks over 110 home furnishing products, plus a great range of Swedish delicacies (from meatballs to salmon), sauces and condiments. The store-within-a-store features a number of neat digital solutions designed to enhance the shopping experience and spark creativity. State-of-the-art devices include a 2-metre-high interactive screen that provides shoppers with home decorating ideas, and a Swedish Cooking Interactive Screen that dishes out tips and recipes.
Providing the ultimate one-stop shopping experience, Market Place’s products and seasonal produce are sourced both overseas and locally, and there’s a sensational range of freshly-made food on offer with everything from artisan pastries from chef Grégoire Michaud’s Bread Pantry to made-to-order sushi. For health-conscious shoppers, Market Place has teamed up with New Zealand healthy snacks brand Alison’s Pantry to provide a special self-service nuts bar.
